The Olympic Games are nearly here! Whilst thousands of visitors are flocking into London by the minute, Londoners are expecting serious delays and transport gridlock on the tube, bus and overground networks.

“But if you’re not one of the lucky few who can use those BMWs and those red lanes, you’re going to have to use public transport” says James Dillon-Godfray, business development director with the Barclays London Heliport in Battersea to the BBC.

For London’s super rich there will be more alternatives; the River Thames will be an uncluttered highway to zip from party to party, from event to event in a flotilla of speedy yet breathtakingly expensive boats.

Several private jet and helicopter charter service companies are prepared for the busiest period ever for private aviation in the UK. Even her Majesty The Queen will  drop by to salute the crowds on a helicopter and bring along none other than James Bond to the open ceremony!
