In late July this year, an American blogger living in Kunming, China, reported a perfect replica of an Apple store, purporting to be genuine, copying the design of Steve Jobs‘ retail empire almost perfectly. Now, a Reuters reporter has spotted the latest example of Chinese retailers copying well-known, successful Western brands: The Chinese furniture store 11 Furniture copies the Swedish giant Ikea, from the yellow and blue signature colours to miniature pencils, model bedrooms and kitchens. A new phenomenon with serious consequences.
