Since Channel 4 started Four Rooms – a programme that features four antiques dealers bidding against each other – I am actually excited about antiques. On one hand they are great investments and on the other they improve our homes and offices. When global demand and tax advantages in key sectors are added in, it is surprising that such a successful formula attracts so little publicity.
